JOB SUMMARY
The Full Stack Ruby on Rails Engineer, reporting to the Director of Engineering, will be responsible for upscaling our technical infrastructure by building new features, expanding existing features using recent versions of Ruby on Rails, and working closely with multiple business users to identify end-user requirements and specifications. 
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create new features and functionality in Front End/Back End
  • Evaluate existing applications to refactor, and add new features 
  • Integrate with third-party APIs, and help build out our own internal APIs
  • Utilize Rspec to write maintainable code using behavior driven development
  • Collaborate and work closely with your teammates, via GitHub, Jira, Slack
  • Help design and implement parts of our CI/CD pipeline
  • Consistently review and improve the code base to enhance methodology, capability, ease of use, and efficiency
  • Collaborate with the product team to implement end-user requirements and specifications
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of Ruby on Rails experience
  • Experience with the AWS suite of products including: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda
  • Experience with MySQL, with emphasis on high performance data structures and queries
  • Experience with Javascript, and building lightweight, fast-rendering web pages
  • Comfortable with *n?x based systems, writing scripts, and working with file systems
