We’re Eezy, we make vecteezy.com and other related applications serving millions of active users from 150+ countries in 7 languages every month. We are a successful remote-first family-first 15-year-old self-funded company and we are very nice people. We are looking to add a mid-level frontend, backend or full-stack engineer to our Content Manager team—Content Manager is the app people use to upload photos, vectors and other resources to vecteezy.com. Our tech stack is a TypeScript React app frontend that uses a Rails 7/Grape REST API backend with Postgres, Redis, Kinesis, ECS, BuildKite, Jest, Playwright, RSpec—React Native and Kafka ecosystem are on the horizon.

You don’t need to be in the US, but you do need to be in one of the four primary US time zones. You’ll generally work M-F 8a-5p in your local time zone with an hour for lunch. We don’t have time crunches or on-call rotations or unnecessary meetings. You’ll have a daily 15-minute standup at 10a Central, a weekly 1:1 with your manager, every two weeks you’ll have two sprint-related meetings, once a month there’s an all-hands meeting and once a year we all get together for a couple of days. There are optional demo day meetings and lunch-and-learn sessions. Rarely will you get pulled into other meetings. We have a non-dogmatic two-week sprint cycle and maintenance Fridays every two weeks. We provide time for professional development during the work week.

A successful candidate will likely have deep experience in either Rails or React as well as experience with and a strong preference for remote work.
They’ll be kind, helpful, flexible, motivated, self-directed and eager to learn new things.
Excellent written and spoken English are required.
Comfort expressing thoughts and ideas in writing is important as most of our collaboration is textual.
