WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Growth Engineering team, which is focused on two overarching areas: 1.) driving our product-led sales motions and 2.) developing internal tools and services to scale our client-facing teams. We own the demo and sandbox instances of the Braze platform, providing prospects with a customized and engaging initial experience of our product. In addition, we build React Native mobile apps, web applications and automations for our Sales, Success and Onboarding teams that drive our go-to-market objectives. Overall, we’re a data-driven organization that looks for opportunities to use new technologies and automation to solve business challenges.
As a senior engineer on the team, you will work to expand the capabilities of our Braze sandbox and demo instances. You will implement new frontend experiences and backend functionality that will set the foundations of the product-led sales motions at Braze. You will take a leading role in driving architectural decisions, mentoring other engineers in navigating a complex code base and pushing our rate of development. WHO YOU ARE
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience
- Experienced technical leader that drives architectural decisions
- Strong understanding of design, data structures and algorithms
- Professional Experience with Ruby on Rails; MongoDB; React, Typescript
- Commitment to engineering mentorship and best practices
- A self starter with great communication and organizational skills and will have worked in a team environment before
For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $145,000 and $170,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $160,000 and $190,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
