Resource Management by Smartsheet is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer 2 to join our Engineering team. The Resource Management pillar delivers integrated people profiles, capacity management, scheduling, time reporting and more capabilities that enable operational managers to unlock the potential of their people. The Seamless Experiences Team is responsible for key integration experiences of Resource Management in Smartsheet that spans login, authentication, onboarding, data syncs and more.

You will report to our Engineering Manager located in our Bellevue, WA office, or you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer.
You Will:
- Build scalable, reliable and performant back-end services for the next generation of applications at Smartsheet (Java, Ruby).
- Solve challenging distributed systems problems and work with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Terraform).
- Develop modular, maintainable front-end components for a diverse set of UI experiences (React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS).
- Lead architectural discussions, code reviews, test plans and infrastructure design as you work with other software engineers and product managers.
- Mentor junior engineers on industry best practices in software design, code, quality, infrastructure & more.
- Forge a strong partnership with product management and other key areas of the business.
You Have:
- 7+ years of software development experience building highly scalable and available SaaS applications.
- 2+ years of programming experience with full stack technologies such as Java, Ruby or TypeScript.
- 2+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.).
- Experience supporting large-scale production services that serve thousands of customers.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis.

Smartsheet provides a competitive range of compensation for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive bonus and RSU stock grant upon accepted offer. California & New York: $178,200 to $253,800 | All other US States: $165,000 to $235,000.
