WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Braze Composition Infrastructure team is responsible for building and maintaining the features that allow our customers to compose rich, customized email messages for improved user engagement. This includes an advanced management UI including a drag-and-drop email composer, a templating engine to dynamically customize email text, and REST APIs that allow customers to add/edit data directly. 
As a senior engineer on the team, you will work with us to build out new features, monitor/improve performance, and provide guidance on key architectural decisions. You will have the opportunity to tackle significant engineering challenges and help shape best practices within the team.
WHO YOU ARE
  • 5+ years of full-stack development experience with strong focus in front-end web development
  • Prior experience working as a leader in a team environment
  • Master at working in modern JavaScript and React, including writing automated tests
  • Strong understanding of distributed system design, data structures, and algorithms
  • A self starter with great communication and organizational skills
  • Bonus:
     
    • Professional experience building distributed systems at scale
  •  
    • Professional experience with any of: Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, Redis, Sidekiq
  •  
    • Experience with agile processes
