Our team is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for building reliable and scalable high-performing software to power the Stash platform.

What You’ll Do
- Architect, design, and implement backend services, including the core API that powers our mobile apps, and our backend data processing and trading systems
- Partner with the product team to come up with new features and products
- Own the end to end delivery of software components from inception to production
- Work in a cross-functional agile team to deliver working software incrementally
- Instrument, test, profile, and code review software
- Continuously deploy to our cloud-based infrastructure
- Scale software infrastructure for a quickly-growing user base
Who We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of professional experience building APIs
- 2+ years working with distributed systems and event-based architectures
- 2+ years of experience developing applications operated in AWS
- Comfort working with a variety of different programming languages
- An experienced engineer who can turn ideas into reliable code that others find easy to comprehend and modify
- A creative problem solver with a passion for testing, debugging, and overall code quality
- A keen understanding of testing best practices (TDD is a plus!)
Gold Stars
- Familiarity with or interest in our stack Scala, Go, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, gRPC
- Experience building an application at scale
- Experience transitioning monolithic systems to microservice-based systems

Salary Range: $135,300 - $202,950
The base salary range represents the reasonably anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience and competencies, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data for companies of our size and industry.
