What we’re looking for
You will be responsible for establishing and developing keys standards and guidance for engineering teams to follow. Ensuring the quality of software projects being delivered to a wide variety of clients each with their own technical challenges. Your experience and expertise will enhance the existing teams ability to deliver on current projects, while leading and supporting on upcoming projects
Responsibilities
• Lead projects requiring innovative, original solutions, provide technical expertise to the team
• Support high-level and company wide technical and architectural decisions
• Lead and support multiple projects both legacy, existing and upcoming
• Support the sales team with sales process where applicable
• Support CTO in Identifying business improvement opportunities within the organisation
• Staying on top of emerging technologies and methodologies
• Support process of scaling the product and engineering team in general
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve complex problems
• Define project engineering plan, execute to deliver with focus on accountability, learning and quality
• Guide the team to develop excellent engineering practices and ensure the product is compliant with
• Mentor, supervise and motivate colleagues and foster team collaboration
• Provide guidance and drive security, privacy, accessibility and other compliance initiatives.
Experience & Qualifications
• Bachelor or Master in computer Science or equivalent (not essential, we value hands-on experience)
• Overall 10+ years of experience on software development, primarily on web development
• Team leading experience for 3+ years
• Existing knowledge of these specific languages/framework are a plus: C#, .NET Core, .NET, ASP.NET, AngularJS 1, ASP Classic, Ruby, React
Experience
• Deep understanding of complex systems, programming languages, and best practices
• Strong people management and leadership skills
• Ability to quickly learn new programming languages and frameworks
• Demonstrate excellence in approach to work and team collaboration
• Excellent problem solving skills
• Able to manage a wide variety of activities at the same time
• Able to work cross functionally and collaboratively with many stakeholders
• Proven passion for driving technical excellence and innovation
• Comfortable with public speaking with ability to give presentations to the organisation
