As a (Senior) Backend Developer (m/f/x) your main tasks will include:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Ruby on Rails.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend developers and product managers, to implement new features and enhance existing functionalities.
- Ensure the performance, security, and scalability of backend applications.
- Contribute to the overall architecture and design decisions for backend systems.
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring code quality and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy and maintain backend services.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve our backend infrastructure.
What we look for:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer with a focus on Ruby on Rails.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
- Proficiency in database design and management (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).
- Experience with RESTful API development and integration.
- Solid understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
