RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Implement new features using code that emphasize clarity, robustness, and maintainability
  • Maintain, support, and improve existing features
  • Actively learn and teach through pair programming and code reviews
  • Contribute to team planning efforts assessing technical feasibility of product changes
  • Rotating on-call duties with other team members
REQUIREMENTS
  • MUST HAVE: 
  • Proficiency with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
  • Test-Driven Development experience with RSpec, MiniTest, Cucumber, or equivalent
  • git or similar VCS
  • Proficiency with relational databases (e.g. MySQL, Postgres) independent of ORMs
  • Comfortable navigating the command line
  • Experience with AWS (Certified Solutions Architect preferred, any level)
  • Motivation and curiosity to continuously learn and improv

  • NICE TO HAVE: 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • At least three years of professional experience developing a Ruby on Rails application
