As a Support Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in a top-talent team of professionals specializing in troubleshooting and supporting our products. As a Support Engineer, you will help our support team troubleshoot escalated issues and act as a liaison between support and engineering. You will use your experience to support the platform and influence development decisions.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Supporting the Grantmaker product, A Ruby on Rails application with a jQuery front end and a few ancillary services.
  • Manage and resolve issues logged by customers and partners (internal and external).
  • Work cross-functionally with support agents, other engineers, designers, QA, and product managers to drive product and process improvements that reduce the number of support issues coming in.
  • Independently prioritize work tasks to meet commitments
  • Identify support trends and suggest improvements to processes, policies, and products
  • Improving observability by identifying logging and monitoring improvements
  • Building test automation to ensure quality release after release
  • Participate in proactive knowledge-sharing activities
  • At least 4 years of experience building or supporting web apps (B2B apps preferred)
  • Experience as as full stack engineer (frontend + backend)
  • Demonstrable experience with Ruby on Rails and JavaScript
  • Innate desire to learn and grow
  • A solid foundation in computer science
  • Dedication to writing and maintaining documentation
  • Willingness to adapt quickly
  • An investigative curiosity and excitement about the challenge of finding root causes and solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Currently living in Latin America
