A leader in the restauranttech space, ItsaCheckmate provides a two-way integration layer between the restaurant’s Point of Sale (POS) system and the evolving digital ordering ecosystem. ItsaCheckmate works with 23,000+ restaurant clients, including small “mom-and-pops” to major chains like Wendy’s, Arby’s, Five Guys, Buffalo Wild Wings, and White Castle. We proudly integrated with 50+ point-of-sale systems and over 100 ordering platforms, including UberEats, DoorDash, and Grubhub.
We are seeking an accomplished Ruby on Rails Fullstack developer with a minimum of 7 years of experience in Ruby on Rails technology and proficiency in React.js. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned Ruby on Rails developer with exposure to React.js and have a proven track record of delivering high quality code on time. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and robust web applications that align with our business goals.
This role is 100% remote, and you may work from any location within India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the product management and design teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and features.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby on Rails code.
- Develop and integrate backend services, APIs, and databases using Ruby on Rails technologies.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, share knowledge, and mentor junior developers.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing timely resolutions to technical challenges.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in web application development using Ruby on Rails.
- Proficiency in Ruby programming language and strong understanding of the Rails framework.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Proficiency in React.js with demonstrated experience in building web applications using technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive and collaborative attitude, passionate for learning and staying up-to-date with emerging technologies.
Additional Requirements:
- Flexibility to work during US hours (India Night Shift hours) at least till 6 pm ET is essential for this role.
- Candidates must have their own system/work setup for remote work.
