GitLab is looking for a Fullstack Engineer for Subscription Management within the Fulfillment Sub-department who will focus on features and services which enable our customers to purchase GitLab licenses and products, provisioning, manage licenses for both self-managed and SaaS (including Cloud License activation/sync and provisioning of legacy licenses), and tooling that enables customers to get the most out of their subscription. Most fullstack developers work on all aspects of GitLab through building features and generally improving the application.
In this role, you will develop features which span multiple systems working across the boundaries between GitLab, our suite of customer management applications, and third-party providers to provide a world-class subscription management experience for GitLab customers.
The Fulfillment Sub-department consists of 4 teams which manage the subscription purchase and renewal lifecycle.

The Work
Below are a selection of the initiatives that you may work on:
What you’ll do:
  • Develop solutions to allow users to purchase GitLab products
  • Creating a consistent user experience across monitoring features
  • Collaborate with Product Management and other stakeholders within Engineering (e.g. UX) to maintain a high bar for quality in a fast-paced, iterative environment
  • Craft code that meets our standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.
What you’ll bring:
  • Professional experience working in Ruby on Rails and Vue.js
  • Strong command of backend skills with proficiency working in Vue.js and other frontend technologies 
  • A strong curiosity to understand how systems work holistically and how they can be streamlined
  • Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, sufficient for success in an all remote and largely asynchronous work environment
  • Experience owning a project from concept to production, including proposal, discussion, and execution
  • Demonstrated capacity to clearly and concisely communicate about complex technical, architectural, and/or organizational problems and propose - thorough iterative solutions

Remote-Global
The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of listed locations only. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. See more information on our benefits and equity. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.
Colorado/Washington pay range
$98,000—$189,000 USD
California/Hawaii/New York/New Jersey pay range
$98,000—$210,000 USD
