Who we're looking for
Remedy is looking for a talented individual who possesses infinite curiosity. You'll work alongside our product managers and partners to create awesome products. What you will do
- Implement, design, and drive new features delivery end-to-end through implementation, launch, and continuous iteration
- Document development processes, standards, and best practices
- Write and maintain a full unit test suite
- Ensure the technical feasibility and stability of solutions in accordance with architectural standards
- Help manage deployments and setup CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate in an agile environment to understand business requirements and translate those needs to actionable development code using best practices
- Engage with business stakeholders to define application requirements, ensuring solutions meet business needs
- Write performant, scalable and testable code with the help of modern tools
- Participate in code reviews that uphold the principle of clean code and architecture
- Participate in active engineering design sessions with evidence and experience-based contributions
- Balance speed and quality, with a focus on tangible results
- Participate in interview process to raise the technical bar and to bring new talent
What should my qualifications be?
- 7+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of developing complex, high-quality software systems delivered to customers
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English at a minimum B2 level
- Expert-level knowledge of Ruby on Rails framework
- Strong background in developing cloud-based solutions, with a focus on security
- Comfort operating in a sometimes ambiguous, fast-changing environment with rapid iteration cycles
- Demonstrated experience managing project timelines and feature requests in a realistic manner
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
- Ability to document and articulate software solutions and strategies effectively
Tech Expertise
- Primary programming languages: Ruby on Rails
- Proficiency in API development and optimization with Ruby on Rails
- Frontend development skills with one or more frameworks such as React, VueJS , or Angular
- Deep understanding of AWS services including Lambdas, EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, and SNS.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline configuration and management using tools like CircleCI or GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, preferably using Terraform
- Advanced database design and management skills with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or AWS RDS.
- Strong expertise in RSpec for behavior-driven development and Capybara for integration testing to ensure high-quality code
- Proficient in background job processing utilizing Redis for efficient management of asynchronous tasks
