The Role

Donorbox is looking for a Sales Engineer who can bridge the gap between our development team, sales and our prospects. You will be an integral part of the team, ultimately responsible for understanding and responding to our customer’s pre-sales needs, accelerating the adoption of our software. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Development and Product teams and report to the Director of Sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver an exceptional pre-sales customer experience.
  • Provide technical expertise in the pre-sales process, outlining the value proposition, clarifying technical requirements, and answering product-related questions.
  • Demonstrate how Donorbox suite of products can provide solutions to customers’ business needs and deliver value, including (but not limited to) joining demos, use case scoping, and proof of concepts.
  • Conduct implementation calls with Enterprise level customers.
  • Create and maintain documentation, guides, and FAQs related to common questions and requirements discovered during the pre-sales process.
  • Develop and nurture strong customer relationships during the evaluation and purchasing process.
  • Foster customer advocacy and represent the voice of the customer with internal teams, gathering and relaying customer feedback and identifying themes across customers to incorporate into product planning.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales, Marketing and Development/Engineering teams to ensure a seamless pre-sales experience.
  • Ability to answer technical questions related to RFI/RFPs from enterprise prospects

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering would be a plus.
  • Exceptional written and spoken communication skills in English
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • In-depth Knowledge of Software and Web Technologies: A strong grasp of software development practices, web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Rails), database management, and APIs. Candidates should be comfortable discussing and demonstrating how these technologies are used in Donorbox's solutions.
  • Understanding of SaaS Platforms: Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms, including familiarity with cloud services, subscription models, and software integration practices. Knowledge of the nonprofit sector's technology solutions is a plus.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to quickly diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues that may arise during sales demonstrations or discussions. This includes providing immediate solutions or workarounds to keep the sales process moving forward.

  • Salary: $36,000
