TableCheck, Japan’s leading restaurant reservation management platform, is seeking a Senior Ruby Engineer to join our Core Platform Team. You will own the Core Application, a Ruby On Rails monolith fueling all TableCheck core functionalities, maintaining its codebase as well as building new features.

Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance TableCheck's core monolith app
- Perform code reviews and production releases
- Work in direct contact with our CTO, and define priorities
- Proactively engage with stakeholders, primarily in Product and Sales
- Create clear and concise documentation
- Interact and cooperate with other engineers from other teams
- Mentor and support other engineers, as the team grows
Mandatory Skills
- 5+ years of Ruby on Rails
- 5+ years of MongoDB or PostgreSQL
Recommended Skills
- Experience maintaining an application with a large user base and performing production releases
- Previous startup experience is highly desired
- Software Security
- Test-driven development
- Experience maintaining existing applications
Language Skills
- Business-level English
- Japanese is not necessary but is considered a plus
Evaluation Criteria
- Applicants will be evaluated based on their technical skills, cultural fit, and strength of their previous experience.
- Applicants will be asked to complete a small coding project, and successfully present it for evaluation purposes.
