Job Description
- Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and robust code our primary Ruby on Rails system and GO services.
- Be the team's lead troubleshooter, researching issues across multiple services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Write well-tested code using RSpec, emphasizing security, performance, and resilience
- Make practical decisions with good judgment when faced with design constraints
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback through Git pull requests
- Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment
Qualifications
- Strong command of Ruby and Rails (understanding the boundaries between them)
- A working knowledge of GO - used in professional experience
- Have a tenacious desire to get to the bottom of things
- Compassion for end users - knowing that even a small payment is very important to someone
- Ability and willingness to write detailed technical documentation for a wide variety of audiences
- Experience working in a large codebase and communicating about code
- Ability to make practical decisions with good judgment when faced with design constraints
- Commitment to writing well-tested code that considers security, performance, and resilience
- Respect and support for team members of all levels and backgrounds, with openness to both teaching and learning

Salary Range: $160,000 - $175,000
