What you will do in a Senior Software Engineer in Application development role at Kyruus Health:
- Leadership and Collaboration:
- Establish and lead the development of modules or features.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and provide technical direction on high-impact projects.
- Establish strong working relationships within and across teams, ensuring alignment on goals, outcomes, and timelines.
- Mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and ensuring best coding practices are followed.
- Proactively suggest and implement improvements to existing technologies or processes.
- Lead code reviews, providing constructive feedback and adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Independently assess complex situations and determine the path forward.
- Make significant technical decisions impacting project architecture and direction.
- Take ownership of features or projects, ensuring successful delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, UI/UX, and DevOps, to gather product requirements.
- Turn product requirements into actionable improvements within the team or with partners.
- Influence cross-functional stakeholders and customers through strong collaboration and leadership.
- You’ll report to the Manager, Engineering in the Practice Optimization Department within the Engineering Division.

- Kyruunauts in the Senior Software Engineer role can progress to a Staff Software Engineer position, where they can lead projects and influence the technical direction of the team and organization. From there, opportunities include moving into Principal level roles or exploring management positions within the Engineering vertical.

How You Can Grow
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5-8 years of experience in software development, testing, and launching software products. ● 3+ years of experience in Ruby on Rails.
- 4+ years of experience working with relational (SQL) databases (required).
- Experience working with Continuous Integration environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Competence in decision-making with a solid understanding of engineering principles, supporting less experienced team members.
- Proven ability to lead the development of modules or features and contribute to architectural discussions.
