Key Responsibilities:
- Set coding standards, review code, and deliver high quality code.
- Ensure scalability, performance, and security.
- Develop and iterate features quickly.
- Tackle complex challenges with innovative solutions.
- Participate in or lead agile activities.
- Work closely with product, design, and QA teams.
- Enhance codebase and reduce technical debt.
- Manage CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications.
- Ensure the product meets user needs and provides a good experience.
- Be a independent contributor and impact project's health.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development.
- Proven experience in leading development projects.
- Startup experience is a must.
- Strong judgment in the election of gems, dependencies, and data stores
- Strong understanding of web-app performance fundamentals and related dev tools
- Strong database fundamentals and experience with SQL
- Practices Test-Driven Development.
- Proficient at debugging complex problems.
- Experience with Stripe API and its advanced capabilities
- Knowledge of Shopify API
- GraphQL Experience is a big plus
