Mixlab, the fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is hiring a remote Fullstack Software Engineer. We’re looking for thoughtful and collaborative engineers who have expertise in building Rails and React applications. You’ll work across multiple applications that serve vets, our internal pharmacies, as well as pets and their human companions.

Although this is a remote role, candidates must be located in the United States within Eastern-Central Time Zones and be able to travel to our NY/LA pharmacies to meet with our team members on a quarterly basis.
About the Role:
  • Lead and build new backend and frontend features across our applications and API
  • Collaborate closely with product and design to create implementation plans
  • Improve the testability and monitoring of our applications
  • Contribute to the improvement of our applications and addressing tech debt
  • Communicate cross-functionally to help find technical solutions to business problems
  • Work to automate and improve our development process
About You:
  • 2-5 years of experience working with Ruby on Rails
  • 2-5 years of experience with React or similar frontend frameworks
  • 2-5 years of experience with Postgres or other relational databases
  • Experience deploying and monitoring applications
  • Ability to manage your work autonomously and take ownership of projects
  • Clear communicator that knows how to build consensus and communicate plans
Bonus Points For:
  • Experience with Netlify, Heroku, Docker and Datadog
  • Experience working on SaaS platforms for a growing user base
  • Prior experience working with remote teams and/or with non-native English speakers

Salary range: $150,000 - $165,000 per-year-salary

Pay ranges at Mixlab are based on competitive market data for our industry and company size. In addition to base pay, our total compensation package for full-time employees includes benefits and equity.
