Join our innovative team as a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer and be a pivotal part of Cobalt's journey in redefining cybersecurity. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in full-stack development to drive significant advancements in our Pentest as a Service (PtaaS) platform. Your contributions will directly impact the way businesses globally detect and manage cybersecurity risks. What You'll Do
Engineering Excellence: Lead and contribute to the development of our SaaS platform, focusing on high-quality, scalable solutions using modern JavaScript frameworks (React), and robust backend technologies (Ruby).
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Staff Engineers to translate business needs into innovative features, enhancing user experience and platform capabilities.
Solution Architecture: Influence and design architecture decisions, balancing current needs with future scalability. Actively participate in code reviews and technical planning to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
Continuous Improvement: Advocate for and implement best practices in software development, including agile methodologies, automated testing, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
Mentorship & Leadership: Share your knowledge and expertise with the team, mentoring junior engineers, and contributing to a collaborative and growth-oriented engineering culture.
You Have
Proven Experience: At least 5 years of experience in full-stack web development, with a track record of delivering successful, user-centered solutions.
Tech Proficiency: Strong skills in our primary tech stack - JavaScript (React), Ruby, Node.js, and familiarity with cloud environments (GCP, Kubernetes).
API Mastery: Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs, understanding their role in scalable, efficient applications.
Code Quality Focus: Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code and a thorough understanding of application architecture principles.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, enabling effective collaboration in a remote setting.
Learning Agility: Eagerness to learn new technologies and approaches, with a proactive mindset and willingness to contribute ideas.
Bonus If You Have
Advanced Skills: Experience with advanced cloud-native technologies, microservices architectures, or security best practices is highly advantageous.
Open Source Contributions: Active participation in open source projects or a strong GitHub portfolio demonstrating your passion for software development.

Pay Range Disclosure (For US openings only)
Cobalt is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role is ($130, 800 - $180, 000) per year + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, and certifications. The salary range may differ in other states and may be impacted by proximity to major metropolitan cities.
