Published on December 05, 2024
VC Lab is a well-funded silicon valley startup whose mission is to help launch 1,000 new venture funds all around the world, with a particular focus on diversity and sustainability. If you think that the ability for worldwide startups to raise capital is important to advance humanity's most important goals, then VC Lab might be a good fit for you.
Decile Group (https://decilegroup.com) is transforming venture capital into a force for good in the world. We are working to launch 1,000 next-generation venture capital firms by 2025, changing the face of venture capital. We run VC Lab, the leading venture capital accelerator worldwide and operate the Decile Hub platform, reducing the barriers of entry for next generation investors to launch and grow meaningful early-stage investment firms.
We are hiring a remote Front-End HTML/Javascript Engineer with Rails/Turbo/Stimulus experience to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces for our digital products. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience with HTML/Javascript/CSS AND some knowledge of the modern front-end stack of Rails/Turbo/Stimulus controllers.
To apply for this job you must be primarily a front-end HTML/Javascript engineer with a strong sense of design and usability, and sufficient passing knowledge of the Rails front-end stack of Turbo/Hotwire/Stimulus to pass a coding challenge. We are hiring separately for full-stack engineers, so if your experience is primarily full-stack, apply here.
Here's what to expect when you join the Decile Group engineering team:
Basic requirements:
- The ideal dev is self-motivated with real-world experience. You don’t need a fancy degree, or big tech experience. (self-driven)
- You must be able to own a project and work directly with people who will use your tools. (good communication)
- You'll be expected to complete a coding challenge as part of the interview process (everybody on the team has done well on it).
- You must live and work within a few time zones of Pacific (California) time. We are on zoom and slack a lot.
If you're motivated to be more, and better, than you are today, if you're not afraid to work with proven, highly skilled people who will ask for your best, to advance a worthy cause, in a fast-paced environment, with a lot of growth opportunity -- then you're a good fit.
