- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, inclusion, and high performance.
- Partner with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to align technical strategies with business goals and translate vision into actionable execution.
- Own and drive technical roadmaps, system architecture, and engineering processes, ensuring technical excellence and scalability.
- Engage in hands-on technical contributions (~5% of your time) through code reviews, architectural discussions, and performance optimizations.
- Cultivate an engineering culture that values learning, experimentation, and collaboration, empowering engineers to make informed decisions.
- Navigate complex projects within a regulated industry, ensuring security, compliance, and best practices are embedded in all aspects of development.
- Leverage AI tools and collaborate with AI/ML experts to integrate intelligent systems into our platform.
- Make data-driven decisions, continuously improving engineering processes and product outcomes.
- Advocate for modern engineering best practices and help shape the future direction of technology at Omada Health.
- 7+ years of experience in software development
- 3+ years leading and managing engineering teams.
- Proven track record of hiring, developing, and retaining top engineering talent.
- Strong experience driving roadmaps, making technical trade-offs, and aligning engineering with business objectives.
- Hands-on background in software development, ideally with experience supporting mobile and web-based platforms.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, balancing technical and business considerations effectively.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment where collaboration is key.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a bias for action, you focus on impact over process.
- Experience in healthcare and knowledge of security/compliance best practices is a plus.
