- Engendering a resilient and accountable warehouse system supporting uninterrupted operations
- Ensuring comprehensive visibility into warehouse operations and precise ingestion of new merchandise
- Supporting a fully directed, efficient fulfillment flow, that can scale independently of cost
- Providing flexibility to support any combination of order lines, fulfillment timing, packaging, and inserts to deliver personalized shopping experiences to our clients
- Enabling fast and accurate returns and refunds, maintaining client trust in our product
- Ensuring every order ships fast and right
- Build tight relationships between enthusiastic partners in varied disciplines of industrial, software, and operations research engineering, owning end-to-end hardware to cloud solutions.
- Solution at high speed with a small, agile team of coworkers to produce outsized impact on the business.
- Showcase your ability to solution in a system with high-uptime requirements.
- Have the autonomy to identify and roadmap unaddressed problems in the business and their impact, as well as offer new, improved solutions to existing challenges.
- Take a leading role in prioritization and sequencing to drive the best value for our clients and stakeholders.
- Apply your understanding of systems design, engineering for resiliency, and thinking in tradeoffs across a multidisciplinary team of hardware, application, and machine learning engineers.
- Be exposed to a wide-open field of opportunity for impact with plenty of challenges to make your own.
- You have 5-8 years of software engineering experience.
- You drive for resiliency. You take a principled approach to complexity, and can make smart bets on where to invest time and system burden for maximum business impact.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly to technical and nontechnical stakeholders about complex technical topics.
- You’re curious about what’s happening outside your immediate sphere and how you can leverage insights elsewhere inside the domains you own.
- You’re happiest as a team player, looking for highest impact across the stack and ready to contribute to team and corporate priorities wherever you find them.
- You have extensive experience sizing, building, delivering, and supporting software products in a production environment, preferably in Ruby/Rails and Go.
- You have past experience building or integrating against new Warehouse Management Systems.
- You bring a comfort with data (SQL, data skepticism and hygiene) to support and co-own decisions.

This role will receive a competitive salary, benefits, and equity. The salary for US-based employees hired into this role will be aligned with the range below, which includes our three geographic areas. A variety of factors are considered when determining someone’s compensation–including a candidate’s professional background, experience, location, and performance.This position is eligible for new hire and ongoing grants of restricted stock units depending on employee and company performance.
