Stellar opportunity to join the Growth Platform Experience group of New Relic! Our team's charter is to accelerate the time to market for new products by:
- Providing self-serve components and services that internal teams need to build and sell their products.
- Improving the product ecosystem to reduce the cost and toil of bringing a product to market.
We focus on delivering incremental value, releasing multiple times daily and using Agile techniques, tools and methodologies.
What you'll do
- Develop reliable and stable services in Ruby on Rails and React
- Create appealing user interfaces for account configuration and product provisioning in React.
- Work with Kafka to provide streams of data for other teams to ingest.
- Use all of New Relic’s cool product features to monitor your own services.
- Participate in a one-week on-call rotation to support our services. We bake stability into everything we do to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
- Work with some of the most inquisitive, nicest people you'll meet!
This role requires
- 2+years of production experience in a team environment working with modern web frameworks
- 2+ years of experience with front-end frameworks (we use React).
- Experience working with REST APIs.
- Experience with AWS SQS, Lambda and other queue services
- A collaborative work style that includes colleagues in important decisions and leads to shared code ownership.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to speak to your point of view without ego.
- Comfortable and willing to give and receive feedback.
Bonus points if you have
- Experience deploying and working with distributed systems technologies.
- Experience using Apache Kafka or a type of messaging system.
- Experience with unit and integration test automation that adds to a development team's efficiency, reliability, and passion for applying these techniques to your projects.
