Access control is a key functionality in securing our users data and to make sure it is not accessible to the wrong people.
Doctolib’s growth in the past 10 years caused authorization to grow big and it is time to rethink our approach and lay the foundation for the coming years.
The authorization framework we are creating has to work for both, our users and the feature teams that will ship new features with new access control needs.

  • Analyze existing and future authorization use-cases in our rails backend
  • Design solutions to improve access control for our users and developers
  • Implement the proposed solutions and help make them a success
  • Plan and execute migrations to newly introduced access control solutions
  • Discuss our complex problems in the team and find solutions together
  • Improve the security of our platform with better authorization
