Why do we need you? Well, we are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who will bring enthusiasm, product thinking, and a thirst for learning iteratively. You will report to one of our Engineering Managers and will be responsible for building Calendly into a meeting lifecycle platform utilizing artificial intelligence to create intuitive and sticky user experiences.
A day in the life of a Full Stack Engineer at Calendly
You will be joining a team working on high-impact features that will solidify Calendly’s position as the go-to for all of your meeting needs. You will work to understand and implement full-stack requirements from the UI to the API layer to the database design. This team works within multiple repositories and creates new services as needed. You will have the opportunity to collaborate cross-squad to assist with company-wide initiatives.
You and your team members will drive every aspect of development from design to delivery to maintenance. You will build new features and work to scale our platform and architecture. You write well-tested software and are looking to grow into a service oriented specialist. You are comfortable working in numerous technologies such as TypeScript (NodeJS), Python, React, Rails, Docker, PostgreSQL, and more.

On a typical day, you will be working on: 
  • Collaborating within your team to build new features with the latest technologies
  • Contributing to platform scaling initiatives
  • Meeting regularly with Product and Design to fine tune requirements
  • Attending agile ceremonies to help your team plan out their work and get it done
  • Working across squads to improve Engineering practices at Calendly
  • Reviewing implementation plans and pull requests from your peers
  • Mentoring and coach other team members.
What do we need from you?
  • 3+ years of Software Development experience at a SaaS or technology company
  • Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) (microservices)
  • A drive to craft clean, reliable and maintainable code
  • An approach to problem-solving centered around collaboration and compromise
  • Experience with Rails, Node (with TypeScript), and/or python is a nice-to-have but not required; we know the best engineers will learn languages as needed
  • Availability for participation in on-call rotation, ensuring prompt and effective responses to business-critical alerts outside of regular working hours
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time

$121,550—$164,450 USD
Base Pay Range California - Salary
$138,550—$187,450 USD
