Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in databases and database design, experience in creating ETL processes, knowledge of AWS data storage solutions (Redshift), and proficiency in Ruby on Rails. They must also have experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker Studio. 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain robust database systems.
  • Develop and manage ETL processes to integrate data from various sources.
  • Optimize and maintain AWS data storage solutions.
  • Collaborate with software engineers to integrate data solutions into our applications.
  • Ensure data integrity and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, with a strong emphasis on PostgreSQL.
  • Document data processes and architectures.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift) and database design.
  • Extensive experience with PostgreSQL and Redshift. 
  • Experience in creating and managing ETL processes.
  • Knowledge of AWS data storage solutions (S3, Redshift, RDS, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails and Python. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work in the US Timezone. 
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles.
